The Central Scientific Library of the RSE ” Gylym Ordasi ” of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the largest holder of scientific literature in Kazakhstan, fulfilling the functions of a natural science depository (5.7 million copies).

The library funds represent the richest collections of national and foreign publications, dissertations, scientific works, private libraries of scientists of Kazakhstan. The species composition of materials is broadened: from the originals of manuscripts to modern electronic media. The library maintains its own electronic database and provides free access to full-text electronic materials. The „Electronic Library” was created on the basis of the book collections of the Central Scientific Library of the RSE „Gylyum Ordasi” of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. A unique collection of materials, many of which exist in a single copy, not only in the country, but in the world: handwritten documents, rare books and other printed materials stored in CSL funds.
