A mission of Plagiat.pl was made to Kazakhstan in November 2018 to participate in Kazakhstan civil forum organized by ALMAU University „Role of universities in development of the civil society”, where one of the speaker were Executive Director of Plagiat.pl Ali Tahmazov. He expressed significant role of civil society and university in development of education and increasing quality of education played in Poland and Eastern Europe after collapse of communistic regime. Those tremendous changes were one of the key factors of making Polish high education recognized in the world. Kazakhstan experience transforming process when universities have got more autonomy recently and realize importance to be in a mainstream of global market of technologies and innovations.
Plagiat.pl’s team based in Almaty had meetings with head of higher education and postgraduate department of Ministry of Higher Education and Science of Kazakhstan Mr Adlet Toibayev, as well as head of Balogna process and Academic Mobility Center Mrs Almagul Kultumanova, and a team of Vice-Minister Mrs Asylova Bibigul. Mrs Irina Smirnova a member of parliament responsible from education and science section was also greeted Plagiat.pl’s team in Astana to express interested in further cooperation to know more of Polish experience in developing of national education legislation moving it towards international standards. The head of „Alpha Academy” organization is one of the first leading civil organizations invited Plagiat.pl to conduct wider training sessions on academic writing and plagiarism prevention at the high schools and universities of Kazakhstan.
Plagiat.pl was also invited to conference of SCOPUS in Astana. During the conference plagiarism phenomenon was raised several times. Scopus and Plagiat.pl have agreed to keep strengthening its common activities in Kazakhstan. Final meeting was conducted at office of Platonus, where Plagiat.pl Executive director Ali Tahmazov and Mr Aydar Ispusinov came to agreement of providing access to StrikePlagiarism.com via leading Kazakh LMS system Platonus.
